What We Do

Our Services

Arivu Foundation was built around two services because we believe there is more than one way to make a difference in a child's education. Both paths support underprivileged children and students in India. The difference is in how you want to give and what kind of impact feels meaningful to you.

Scholarship

Scholarship Support

A scholarship can mean many things. It can be a way to help a deserving student take a step that members of their family may have been unable to. It can honor someone you lost or support a cause that is personal to you. Our scholarship program offers donors a meaningful way to invest in a student's future while ensuring every dollar goes exactly where it should.

Types of Scholarships

Scholarships through Arivu Foundation can be general or tailored to criteria that matter to you.

Honor a Loved One

Create a scholarship in memory or honor of someone special. Whether it carries their name or reflects something meaningful about their life, it becomes a lasting part of their legacy.

Personal Circumstance

Donors can direct a scholarship toward students who have faced a specific hardship, such as the loss of a parent, a medical challenge in the family, or another defining life experience.

Field of Study

Support students pursuing a specific career path or academic field. A great way to invest in the next generation of professionals in an area that is personal or meaningful to you.

How It Works

  1. 1A donor funds a scholarship through our website with a minimum contribution of $500. They choose whether to give generally or set specific criteria such as a field of study, a personal circumstance, or a named dedication.
  2. 2Once a scholarship is established, it becomes available for students to view and apply for through our scholarship portal. Students can browse available scholarships, review each scholarship's requirements, and submit applications for those they qualify for. Each student may apply for one scholarship per cycle.
  3. 3Students submit a full application, including financial background, academic records, a personal essay, and their educational goals. Applications are then stripped of all personal identifying information before being passed to our independent review committee, ensuring the selection process is fully unbiased.
  4. 4Our independent review committee, made up of vetted educators and community leaders with no affiliation to the Arivu Foundation board, scores each application based on financial need, academic performance, the personal essay, and individual circumstances.
  5. 5The selected recipient is notified, and their scholarship award is sent directly to their institution. Funds go straight to the school to ensure they are used for tuition as intended. Students who are not selected may reapply in the next scholarship cycle.
  6. 6The donor receives a one-time donor packet including a photo of the recipient, the essay the student submitted as part of their application, the student's future aspirations, and proof of their admission into higher education.

Our Commitment to Fairness and Transparency

Every scholarship decision made through Arivu Foundation is designed to be fair and defensible. Applications are reviewed blind, meaning all personal identifying information is removed before reaching our review committee. Scoring is standardized across all applications so that every student is evaluated on the same criteria. All communication between donors and recipients is handled through Arivu Foundation to protect the privacy of every student we work with.

  • All applications are stripped of identifying information before review.
  • Selection is made by an independent committee with no board affiliations.
  • Scholarship funds are paid directly to the student's institution.
  • Donors receive a full impact packet confirming how their scholarship was used.
  • Full documentation is maintained for every scholarship cycle.

For Donors

Scholarships start at a minimum of $500. This ensures the award is meaningful for the student receiving it and covers the administrative costs of a thorough and fair review process. You can give in your own name, anonymously, or in honor or memory of someone special. If you have specific criteria in mind for your scholarship, we will work with you to define them before it is listed for applicants.
